Is it permissible to invocate Al mighty Allah By the words “AAH” & “AH” part- 03
Scholars who affirmed that
“AAH” is the name of Almighty Allah:
1)
Imaam Abdul Ghanee Al Naabulsi (rali)writes in his book “Jam Ul Asraar”
that Imaam Ahamed Shihabuddeen Al Bakri (rali) has stated that the great
scholar Imaam Gazzaalee (rali) permitted this Zikr and allowed invoking by this
word.
2)
Abdullah Jeelanee (rali) said that the angles of Almighty Allah invoke
by the word “AAH” when the glory of Almighty Allah overwhelms them.
3)
Scholar Allama Al Hifni (Rah) said that the word “AAH” is the ismul ahlum – the
greatest name of Allah, one who praise by this Zikr will be responded and his
deeds will be accepted.
4)
Imaam Fhahruddeen Al Razi (rali) – interpreter of holy Quraan (Thafseer
Ul Kabeer)said that there are different sayings and opinions among the scholars
with regard to the Ismul Ahlum. In my opinion
the word “AAH” is the Ismul Ahlum.
5)
Imaam Al Azeezy (rali) : the
word “AAH” is a Zikr inspirited by Almighty Allah in the hearts of his beloved
slaves. One who makes Zikr by this word
will understand the magnificence’s of Almighty Allah.
6)
Al Sheih Al Ameer(rali) : “AAH”
is the great name of Almighty Allah.
7)
Imaam Al Bajuree (rali) – Author of Thuhfathul Mureedh has stated that
a patient must say “AAH”, it is the name of Allah, not “AKH” it is the name of
“Satan”.
8)
Ibnu Shama (Rali) said the word “AAH” is a great name of Allah similar
to the word Allah.
The Muslims all over the world who follow the tenets
of Islam do not hesitate to accept the conclusions of the great scholars in
Islam.
Sound coming from the heart
(1.3) When a pain overcomes a
man he starts to groan expressing a sound most probably similar to the sound of
“AAH”. This is called Moaning. A Hadees assures the fact of such a moaning sound came from a bole
of the dates tree that was used as a pulpit for sermons by our beloved Prophet Muhammad
(sal) and he went to that bole that was moaning and kept his hands on it tolerating
its cry (buhari 3583).
Religious prove
Spiritual leaders have given
clear and ideal clarifications forwarding evidences from the holy Quraan to
establish rightness of invoking Almighty Allah by the word “AAH” and “AH”.
From the Holy Quraan (Inna ibraheema la awwahun haleem –
surely Prophet Ibraheem was most tender hearted, forbearing.)
According to Thafseer Al
Qurthubee there are fifteen (15) meanings to the word “Awwah” in this Quraanic
version.

One who supplicate much according to Ibnu Mashood (rali).
2
Whose heart is filled with mercy. According to Hassen (rali).
3
Whose says “ AAH”. According to Aboo Thar (rali)
4
One who invoke many more times. According to Ukbath Bin Aamir (rali)
We give here only four meanings.
According to its second
meaning (who says “AAH”) Prophet Ibraheem (sal) is described as one who was
used to say “AAH” many more times.
According to Arabic lexicologist the word “AWWAH” has thirteen (13) ways
of pronunciations such as “AWH”, “AWWAHU”, “AWHI”, “AWHA” and “AAH”.
As well as this word “AAH”
is considered a sound of moaning of a patient, it is considered a sound of
expressing sorrow, piety feeling and lenience as written in the book titled
“Sharahuth Thasheel” of Imaam Muraadhee (rali).
All the following interpretations of the holy Quraan states that the
word “AAH” has the same meaning.

Thafseer Ul Aalusi – “AWWAH” means one who says “AAH” much also it
means fulfilment of the heart with mercy as clarified by some intellectuals.
