Is it permissible to invocate Al mighty Allah By the words “AAH” & “AH” part- 04
Proves from Sunnah – Hadees
1
Hazrath Ibnu Abbaas ( rali) narrated. Our Prophet Muhammad (sal) was
supplicating as follows: “Oh Allah, help
me, don’t help any one against me, show me the way of saving myself from
enemies, don’t show my enemies this, guide me to the right path and make it
easy, assist me against those aggress me.
Oh! Allah make me thankful to you, invocate-full to your name, fearful
of you, obey-full to you and make me ever saying (awwaah) “AAH” “AAH” with mind
restlessness depending on you. Oh! Allah
accept my apologize remove my sins accept my prayers, guide my heart and soul,
purify my tongue and erase hypocrisy from my heart”. Given in “Adhabul Mufradh of Imaam Buhari (rali)
664,665., Abu Dawood 1510, 1511., Thirmizi 3551, Ibnu Maajaa 3830, Nasayee
6151, Musnadh Ahamedh 1997, Ibnu Hibbaan 948, Ibnu Abee Sheiba 10/280, Abdhu
Ibnu Humaidh 1/236, Haakim 1/519, Musnadh Al Shihaab 2/344.
According
to Thirmizi, Ibnu Hibbaan and Haakim this hadees is saheeh. Imaam Thahabi also has commented for Imaam
Haakim’s stand. Only Imaam Haafil Ibnu
Hajar (rali) has given this hadees the code of “Hassen” (Below saheeh).
Also
the following hadees indicates the existence of more names other than the
ninety nine (99) names mentioned in the specific hadees {surely Almighty Allah
has ninety nine (99) beautiful names. One who learns them by heart will enter
the paradise.} That is Oh! Allah I pray thee by all the names thee nameth thy
self Or by all the names thee selecth in thy supernatural knowledge or by the
names thee revealth in your religions or
by the names thee haveth taughth one of your saints (written earlier).

Hadees narrated by Ukbath Bin Aamer (rali). Prophet Mohammed (sal) described his companion
Zul Bijadhein (rali) as ever-sayer of “AAH”, because he was used to recite the Holy
Quraan, invoke Almighty Allah always and to supplicate loudly.
Musnadh
Ahmed 17453, Imaam Thabarani (rah) mentioned this hadees in his Thafseer,
17/813., Imaam Abu Nuaim in Hilya 1/122. This companion’s full name was Zul
Bijadhein Bin Abdhu Nahm Bin Abeeb Al Misri.
He was an orphan lived with one of his uncles. He was used to say “AAH”, “AAH” ...
always. He died after battle of Tabook
and our Prophet (sal) buried him by his hands.

Hadees narrated by Aaisha (rali) “Apostle of Allah came to us while a patient
was moaning at our present. When he was
told to keep quite our Prophet (sal) said let him moan, moaning is a name of
Allah, getting relief by such moaning.
Imaam
Abdul Kareem Bin Mohamed Al Rafiyi (rali) has written this hadees in his book –
Al Thathween fee Akhbari Al Quazween No: 1499 and Imaam Al Dhailami (rali) in
his book – Al Firdhous No: 8647. The
great scholar Al Azeezi (rali) who explicated the book Jaamiuz Sageer has given
this hadees the code of HASANUN LI KHAIRIHI which is unanimously accepted to
act on it.
Author
of Siraajul Muneer argues that this may be listed under the code of “Laeef”. But not a fabricated one. Those who argue that this hadees is a “laeef”
point out that one of the narrators Mohamed Bin Ayyoob Bin Suwaidh is a
suspected person but his name is not given in the chain of narrators mentioned
in the book Al Thathween Fee Thaareehil Khazween. But one Mohamed Bin Ayyoob Bin Rashid is
given instead of that suspected narrator.
Commitment made by scholar Mohamed Al
Madhani in this regard.
During
1930s the Egyptian magazine Majallathul Islam Al Misreeyah in its academicals column
published an argument between the professors of Al Azhar University on
permissibility of invoking Almighty Allah by the word “AAH”. Professor Mohamed Al Azhary argued against
this. His opponent professor Mohamed Bin
Imraan argued for it. After writing long
researchers both of them finally agreed to decide the matter based on the
hadees narrated by Aaisha (rali) {let him moan, moaning is the name of
Allah}. Professor Mohamed Al Azhari
pointed out that a particular narrator named Mohamed Bin Ayyoob Bin Suwaidh is a suspected man for
fabricating hadees and this hadees can not be taken as an evidence, then the professor Mohamed Imran Al Azhari
forwarded his argument saying that the suspected person’s name is not given in
the original chain of narrators mentioned in the original text of Al Thathween
Fee Thareehil Khazween, where one Mohamed Bin Ayyoob Bin Rashid is given
instead. So the professor Mohamed Al Azhari who argued against this zikr “AAH”
was compelled to admit the permissibility of invoking by that word.
