Is it permissible to invocate Al mighty Allah By the words “AAH” & “AH” part- 02
(1.1) it
being a name of Almighty Allah is witnessed and proved by the following hadees. Our beloved Prophet (sal) prayed as follows.
“I beg of your mighty to make the holy Quraan a spring to my heart and a remedy
for all afflictions and distresses by all the names thee nameth thy self or by
the names thee choosth in thy supernatural knowledge or by the names given in
the divine religions or by the names thee taughth to any of thy creations.) (musnad Ahmad)
In this Hadees our Prophet (sal) has indicated that
Almighty Allah has many more names by the phrase (you taught one of your
creatures) He emphasizes the possibility of teaching his beloved saints some of
his names. The name “AAH” may be such a
name taught by Allah Almighty to his great saints.
It is a well
accepted fact by the Muslim world
that the spiritual leaders – great saints are the people who attained the close
presence of Almighty Allah scarifying their hearts and souls to continuous
supplications. This is witnessed by many
thousands of people who lived in the periods of Great saints such as Saiyidhunaa
Muhiyyaddheen Abdhul Khaadhr Al Jeelaanie (Rali) and Saiyidhunaa Abul Hassen Al
Shaadhulee (Rali). This is why they are
highly respected and followed by Muslims all over the world. Muslims everywhere accept the thareekas (spiritual
orders) found by them as they are distinguished Ulamaas and great scholars who
learnt academically and divinely where pious and faithful believers prefer to
accept their ways keeping good faith on them.
Followers of thareekas are of firm and stern belief that, by following
them, they benefit here and here after.
And acting hostilely towards them opposing their ways will result in
eternal damnation.
The hadees
narrated by Aaish (Rali) to say “Apostle of Allah came to us while a patient
was moaning, then the moaner was told to keep quite then our Apostle said let
him moan – moaning is a name of Almighty Allah”
is also an evidence to prove this fact.
(1.2) Shortened form of the word Allah.
The practice
of invoking Almighty Allah by the word “AAH” is seen in fassiyya branch of
Shadhuleeya Order. Also this is a
distinguished invoking way. This word
“AAH” is not pronounced by the tongue but by throat and the heart. Those who are not familiar with the followed
and practiced invocating system of Soofi orders suspect in them due to their ignorance. Their suspicions and condemnations are
baseless.
Shortening of the words is a
practice of Arabs in the Arabic language.
Shortening of the word Allah is a practice of Arabs approved by the grammatical
regulations of the Arabic language. The
world reputed Arabic grammarian Mohamed Al Sabbaan has stated in his book
titled Al Risaalathul Qubrah, that Arabs
had such a practice of shortening the word Allah in order to make invocation
rather easier for a long time.
Also the scholars of Islamic
jurisprudence as well as the scholars of interpretation of the Holy Quraan have
ascertainably confirmed that the word Allah is in its full strength and full
weight whenever the letter “H” is there even though its other letters are removed.
The world accepted Islamic jurisprudential
scholar Imaam Ibnu Hajur (Rah) has stated in his religious verdict that, it is permissible
to invoke almighty Allah by the words mentioned in the holy Quraan such as “Kaaf”
– “Haa”- “Yaa” – “Ain” – “Saad” – as well as by a single letter of the word
Allah.
The famous interpretation of
the holy Quraan “Thafseer Al Quasin” states that the word Allah will be in its
full weight and its full strength even some of its letters were removed. The books “Shamsul Maariful Sugra” and Shamsul
Maariful Qubrah” where the author has given etymologies of letters and words
and systems of using Arabic Alphabetic for various purposes has stated that the
word Allah is the self name of the creator and the central name where all other
his names describe his attitudes and significances. This name can be shortened in many
forms. Its meaning and significances
will not be changed even its letters were removed. Its every letter contains the divine power
and its strength. Well reputed spiritual
leader Sheih Sahrawardhee has allowed invoking Almighty Allah by the words of
“Lahu Lahu”. Another famous Soofi Sheih
Dhimra (rali) has taught his pupils to
invoke by the word “AAH”. Sheih
Abdussalaam(rali) also taught his
followers to invoke by the word “AAH” as written in the book titled “Unnurathunnbaviyyh”
When the great scholar Sheikhul
Islam Shihaabuddeen Ibnu Hajar (rali) was questioned about invoking standing,
singing devotional songs while invoking by the words of “Hu”, “Haa”, “Hee” and
moving while invoking, he replied all these are allowed and permitted in the
Islamic Law. So, it is very clear that
the Zikr system of Fassiyyah branch of Shaazuliyya order is complying with the Islamic
Law and the word “AAh” is similar to the word Allah both in the vision of
Islamic Law and the Arabic Grammar. The
soul familiar and habituated with this Zikr will be bestowed with an
opportunity of leaving the world – physical body with invoking while he groans
at his last minutes saying “AAH” “AAH” intentionally or unintentionally. So this Zikr will be most important and
highly valued.
One of the main Imaams of
Shaazuliyyah order Sheik Ahamed Zarrook Al Fassy (rali) narrates the version of
Mohammed Al Magribi (rali) a great saint and the Khaleefa – a representative of
Sheih Abu Abbaas Al Mursi (rali) in his book, Mohammed Al Magribi (rali) having
stated that “when I went to the Majlis of Abu Abbaas Al Mursi (rali) I saw him
and his followers been engaged in Zikr “AAH” expressing a sound of roaring like
that of animals. When I asked them what that
Zikr was in an admiring mood, I was replied that is the Zikr of realistic
theologians. Then the gentle breeze of Zikr
blew on me, and then I became over whelmed.
In deep contemplation I saw our Prophet Muhammad (Sal) saying that is
the Zikr of Angles of Allah which they have obtained through their
meditation. It is the Zikr of good
feelers of the powers of almighty Allah.
Make Zikr so. Don’t oppose those
invokers. They are in the limits of
their lord. So I started to make Zikr by
the word “AAH” and taught it to others too.
They did Zikr in circles of groups.
By doing this Zikr we gained many benefits. (Nusrathunnabaviyyah).
